The Deadlift is another critical lift for developing strength. The squat and the deadlift are the king and queen of lifts (although you wouldn't dare call either a queen!)
With the barbell on the floor, put your legs close to the bar with your feet about a foot and a half apart.
With your back straight, hinge your hips and grasp the bar.
Inhale, brace your core (abs) and pull the bar up close to your body. As you pass your knees, push the hips forward.
Follow the same motion in reverse to return the bar to the floor.
These are killers and will take a lot out of you - and do a lot for you!
